Les pàgines 5 i 6 de l’episodi 8 de *Pepper&Carrot*, «La festa d'aniversari de la Pepper», de David Revoy, el còmic web de llicència lliure (CC BY 4.0) sobre una bruixa jove i el seu gat. Revoy publica les seves pàgines sense text i la comunitat en tradueix la transcripció a desenes d’idiomes. ### 1 · Converteix la transcripció en guió

El codi és [la resposta curta](https://postext.dev/ca/cookbook/pepper-and-carrot-page.md#la-resposta-curta) de dalt. Un script de conversió llegeix els fitxers font de l’episodi: talla cada pàgina en vinyetes seguint els carrers blancs i escriu la divisió que ha mesurat (`29.9 / 49.3 / *` a la pàgina 5), pren les paraules de cada bafarada de l’SVG de la traducció i anomena qui parla a partir de la transcripció ([traduir un còmic](https://postext.dev/ca/docs/comics.md#traduir-un-còmic)). El resultat és una línia per bafarada, `pepper{shout break}: …`, amb la forma que tenia la bafarada original: un contorn trencat passa a ser `shout`, una bafarada que creuava la vora, `break`. L’accent dels dimonis, amb les seves *š* i *ā*, és dels traductors i s’hi queda.

Les bafarades de Revoy són als seus fitxers font com a formes vectorials, rabets inclosos. La conversió segueix cada rabet fins a la punta i la desa com a àncora de qui parla, en fraccions de la vinyeta, de manera que les bafarades noves apunten on apuntaven les seves: a la boca oberta de la Pepper, al dimoni del mig ([personatges i àncores](https://postext.dev/ca/docs/comics.md#personatges-i-àncores)). Les zones segures conserven el motiu de cada vinyeta encara que les cel·les difereixin uns mil·límetres de les seves.

El repartiment de la resposta curta dona als dimonis bafarades negres amb lletra blanca, com les dibuixa Revoy, i una veu pròpia: Grenze Gotisch, una gòtica, a les edicions llatines. L’estil `plate` posa text sobre un objecte: el títol del llibre d’encanteris, daurat, en Zen Antique i amb un halo fosc prim, girat amb `rotate` i inclinat amb `skew` perquè s’assenti a la coberta, partit en línies amb `\` on la coberta el parteix. Cada edició fa servir lletres per a la seva escriptura; les bafarades japoneses van en vertical, i les pàgines japonesa i àrab es llegeixen de dreta a esquerra ([retolació](https://postext.dev/ca/docs/comics.md#retolació)).

La llicència demana l’autor, la font, la llicència i una nota dels canvis; la portada els imprimeix en les paraules de cada edició, preses dels crèdits del mateix episodi. Una de les persones que van col·laborar en les traduccions espanyola i japonesa és Hồ Nhựt Châu, i les lletres vietnamites són en un fitxer de Fontsource a part: la recepta el carrega per a la lletra dels crèdits i el passa al PDF.

## Errors freqüents

- **Qualsevol objecte headings desactiva el salt de pàgina de l'H1.** Per defecte un H1 salta a una pàgina senar (always-odd), però qualsevol objecte headings anul·la aquest valor, de manera que els capítols van seguits i span: 'page' no fa res. Torna a declarar headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } a cada configuració.
- **Carrega totes les fonts abans de compondre.** La composició mesura el text amb les fonts que el navegador ha carregat i en desa les amplades, així que una font que arriba després de la primera composició deixa talls de línia erronis i un PDF que ja no coincideix amb la pantalla.
