## En poques paraules

El full tècnic de quatre pàgines d'un sensor de temperatura. Mostra com crear taules amb dades d'un full de càlcul, amb capçaleres compartides i una taula llarga que continua en una altra pàgina.

## Què compondràs

El full tècnic del PX-7021, un sensor de temperatura d'un fabricant imaginari, Pyxis Microdevices, ocupa quatre pàgines. Gairebé tot són taules, amb capçaleres plenes de cel·les combinades i un mapa de registres que no cap en una columna. La portada comença amb una banda violeta que porta la referència i tres xifres clau. A la pàgina 2, una sola taula ocupa tota l'amplada. La seva capçalera de dues files posa «Value» sobre «Min», «Typ» i «Max», els grups de paràmetres es combinen a la primera columna i un paràmetre de cada dos va sobre fons gris. El mapa de registres es talla al peu de la pàgina 3 i continua a la 4 amb la capçalera repetida, al costat dels codis de comanda i a sobre del dibuix de l'encapsulat. Les taules són dades d'un full de càlcul enganxades com a TSV, perquè Postext no interpreta les taules de Markdown.

**Aquesta recepta respon a:**

- Com passo dades enganxades a una taula amb capçaleres combinades, amplades de columna i alineació per cel·la?
- Com parteixo una taula llarga entre pàgines amb la capçalera repetida i un avís de «continua»?
- Com dono estils diferents a diverses taules (emplenaments, files alternes, marcs arrodonits) en un mateix document?
- Com mantinc els diagrames nítids i amb text seleccionable al PDF (SVG, màsters d'impressió)?
- Com afegeixo imatges i taules des del codi (recursos) en lloc de ![]() de Markdown?

      m = setAlignment(m, at(r, c), c >= C.min && c <= C.max ? 'right' : 'left', 'middle');
      // A table style has no zebra rows, so they are filled cell by cell (gotcha: no-zebra). Each
      // helper returns a new model, cheap at 20 rows; for thousands, set the cell fields directly.
      if (c === C.group) m = setCellBackground(m, at(r, c), col('tint'));
      else if (zebra) m = setCellBackground(m, at(r, c), col('zebra'));
    }
  }
  return m;
}

## Elaboració

### 1 · Enganxa les dades i després dona forma a la taula

El codi és a [la resposta curta](#la-resposta-curta), més amunt. A postext 1.4.1, `parseTSV` deixa `headerRowCount` sense fixar, així que les dues files de capçalera es declaren a mà; si la taula es partís, totes dues es repetirien a cada part. Els pesos de `columnWidths` sumen 180, l'amplada de la caixa de text en mil·límetres, de manera que cada pes és l'amplada real de la seva columna a la pàgina. `mergeCells` conserva cada cel·la coberta i la marca amb `hiddenBy`, i així cap columna no es desplaça. `setAlignment` treballa cel·la a cel·la i esborra l'alineació vertical si no l'hi passes; per això gairebé totes les crides tornen a posar `'middle'`. El gris s'alterna de paràmetre en paràmetre, així que les dues files d'«Accuracy» comparteixen fons; alternant per files, la segona quedaria en blanc.

### 2 · Cada model passa a ser un recurs

```js
// script.js, línies 492–521
const svgResource = (id, caption, altText, [w, h], placement) => ({ id, typeId: 'figure',
  kind: 'svg', caption, altText, placement, createdAt: 0, updatedAt: 0,
  svg: { fileId: `${id}.svg`, width: w * SCALE, height: h * SCALE } }); // fitted to its slot
const table = (id, caption, model, { styleId, placement, note } = {}) => ({ id, typeId: 'table',
  kind: 'table', caption, note, placement, table: { model, styleId }, createdAt: 0, updatedAt: 0 });
// A float takes the first free slot after its first :ref; the logo is never cited, only drawn.
const resources = [
  svgResource('logo', '', 'Pyxis Microdevices', LOGO),
  svgResource('pinout', 'Pin configuration, 8-pin DFN, top view.', 'The package from above: '
    + 'pins 1 to 4 down the left side, 5 to 8 up the right.', PINOUT),
  svgResource('circuit', 'Typical application, bus address 48h.', 'The sensor with a 100 nF '
    + 'capacitor, address pins to ground, and SDA, SCL and ALERT pulled up to a host.', CIRCUIT),
  svgResource('outline', 'Package outline and land pattern, 8-pin DFN, in mm.', 'Top, bottom '
    + 'and side views of the 2 × 2 mm body, and the land pattern with its two vias.', OUTLINE,
  { position: 'bottom', span: 'page' }), // a strip across the foot of a page
  table('electrical', 'Electrical characteristics, *V*~DD~ = 1.6 V to 5.5 V and *T*~A~ = −40 °C '
    + 'to 125 °C unless noted', electricalTable(electrical), { styleId: 'electrical',
    placement: { position: 'top', span: 'page' }, note: 'Typical values at 3.3 V and 25 °C. '
      + '^1^ Tested at 25 °C and 50 °C, the rest by characterization. ^2^ Characterized, not '
      + 'tested in production. ^3^ One conversion a second, bus idle.' }),
  // No placement: these float, and only a floated table splits (gotcha: here-table-no-split).
  table('pins', 'Pin functions', groupedTable(pins, [9, 16, 10, 52]), { styleId: 'grouped',
    note: 'Types: P power, G ground, I input, O open-drain output, I/O open-drain input and '
      + 'output.' }),
  table('registers', 'Register map', groupedTable(registers, [9, 17, 11, 50]), {
    styleId: 'grouped', note: 'Reset values apply at power-on and after a general-call reset.' }),
  table('ordering', 'Order codes', Object.assign(parseTSV(ordering), { headerRowCount: 1,
    columnWidths: [23, 29, 18, 17] }), { styleId: 'ordering',
    note: 'WLCSP-4: fixed address 48h, no ALERT output.' }),
];
```

Cada taula i cada dibuix és un recurs amb el seu peu, i les taules hi afegeixen una nota i un estil amb nom. Els peus i les notes admeten cursiva, subíndexs i superíndexs: la taula elèctrica dona les condicions de mesura amb `*V*~DD~` al peu, que a les taules va a sobre, i numera les notes amb `^1^`. Un flotant ocupa el primer espai lliure després del seu primer `:ref`. La taula 1 es cita a la pàgina 1 i va a dalt, a tota l'amplada, així que obre la pàgina 2. El dibuix de l'encapsulat va a baix, també a tota l'amplada, i la resta de taules es queden amb la col·locació per defecte, un flotant de l'amplada d'una columna. Col·locada `here`, una taula no es parteix mai.

### 3 · Deixa que una taula llarga es parteixi sola

```js
// script.js, línies 73–87
function groupedTable(tsv, columnWidths) {
  let m = Object.assign(parseTSV(tsv), { headerRowCount: 1, columnWidths });
  const codes = [0, 2]; // Pin and Type, Addr. and Reset: short codes, centred, in a bare chip
  // A TSV cell holds no line break: the data writes \n, and a line opening with • is a list.
  m.rows = m.rows.map((row, r) => row.map((cell, c) => ({ ...cell,
    content: r > 0 && row[1].content && codes.includes(c) ? `:chip[${cell.content}]{style="code"}`
      : cell.content.replaceAll('\\n', '\n') })));
  for (let r = 0; r < m.rows.length; r++) {
    const last = m.rows[r].length - 1;
    if (r >= m.headerRowCount && !m.rows[r][1].content) { // a lone first cell heads a group
      m = setCellBackground(mergeCells(m, span(r, 0, r, last)), at(r, 0), col('tint'));
    } else for (const c of codes) m = setAlignment(m, at(r, c), 'center');
  }
  return m; // no split code: the engine cuts it between rows and repeats the head
}
```

La taula de terminals i el mapa de registres surten de la mateixa funció, `groupedTable`. Una fila que només té text a la primera cel·la es combina a tota l'amplada i porta el fons lila dels títols de grup. Una cel·la de TSV no admet salts de línia, així que les dades escriuen `\n` i la funció el canvia per un salt de debò; una línia que comença per `•` es compon llavors com a element de llista. Els codis curts van en l'estil de xip `code`, que no té fons, vora ni farciment lateral i els compon en Fira Mono a 0,9 em. Si una taula flotant no cap a la columna buida que se li ofereix, el motor la talla entre files i passa la resta al següent espai lliure, sota la capçalera repetida i amb `(continued)` darrere del peu. Sota la primera part va l'avís de `continuesMarker`, «Continued on the next page», i la nota espera a l'última ([taules més altes que la pàgina](/ca/docs/configuration#taules-més-altes-que-la-pàgina)).

### 4 · Un estil de la casa i una variant per taula

```js
// script.js, línies 191–205
  tableStyle: { headerBackground: col('brand'), headerColor: col('paper'), headerFontFamily: COND,
    headerFontSize: pt(8.5), bodyFontSize: pt(8), rules: 'horizontal', borderColor: col('rule'),
    borderWidth: pt(0.5), cellPadding: mm(1.3) },
  tableStyles: [ // a resource picks one with table.styleId
    // White rules cut the fills apart and show where each merge and each group ends.
    { id: 'electrical', borderColor: col('paper'), borderWidth: pt(1.4), cellPadding: mm(1.1) },
    // Written out although it is the default: 'clip' and 'hide' cut a table taller than the page.
    { id: 'grouped', overflow: 'split', continuedSuffix: '(continued)',
      continuesMarker: 'Continued on the next page' },
    // A compact list in the condensed face, boxed by a rounded outer frame.
    { id: 'ordering', headerBackground: col('tint'), headerColor: col('brand'),
      rules: 'outer', borderRadius: mm(1.5), bodyFontFamily: COND },
  ],
  captionStyle: { fontFamily: COND, fontSize: pt(9.5), labelColor: col('brand'), gap: mm(2),
    note: { fontSize: pt(7.5), color: col('muted') } },
```

`tableStyle` aplega el que comparteixen totes les taules. Cada entrada de `tableStyles` fixa només el que canvia en les seves, i un recurs en tria una amb `table.styleId`. La taula elèctrica canvia els filets grisos per filets blancs d'1,4 pt, que separen els fons i marquen on acaba cada cel·la combinada. La de comandes porta un marc exterior arrodonit i la Fira Sans Condensed, perquè les seves quatre columnes càpiguen en una columna de text.

### 5 · Rètols que continuen sent text al PDF

```js
// script.js, línies 525–539
// An SVG drawn as an image cannot use the page's fonts (gotcha: svg-no-webfonts): the PDF sets
// its labels as real text in the faces it embeds; the canvas copy embeds the face itself.
async function fontFace(family) { // the same TTF the PDF embeds, from the pdf kit block
  const ttf = await fontsourceProvider(family, 400, 'normal');
  const base64 = btoa(Array.from(ttf, (b) => String.fromCharCode(b)).join(''));
  return `@font-face{font-family:'${family}';src:url(data:font/ttf;base64,${base64})}`;
}
async function loadDrawing(fileId, markup, face) {
  await loadSvg(fileId, markup); // registers the plain SVG and keeps its bytes for the PDF
  const img = new Image();
  img.src = `data:image/svg+xml;charset=utf-8,${encodeURIComponent(
    markup.replace(/<svg[^>]*>/, (tag) => `${tag}<style>${face}</style>`))}`;
  await img.decode();
  registerResourceImage(fileId, img); // replaces the canvas copy only
}
```

Un SVG arriba al canvas com a imatge, i una imatge no pot fer servir les fonts web de la pàgina, així que els rètols dels terminals, del circuit i de l'encapsulat sortirien amb una font del sistema. El PDF rep el marcatge tal com és i compon cada `<text>` com a text seleccionable amb les fonts que incrusta. Per al canvas, cada dibuix es registra una altra vegada amb el fitxer de Fira Mono a dins, baixat una sola vegada amb el carregador de fonts del bloc pdf del kit.

### 6 · Obertura, capçalera i peu de pàgina

```js
// script.js, línies 96–147
const place = (to, edge, x, y, size) => ({ anchor: { to, edge }, offset: { x: mm(x), y: mm(y) },
  ...(size && { size }) });
const inset = (edge, y, size) => // a page corner, moved in by the side margin
  place('page', edge, edge.endsWith('left') ? MARGIN.x : -MARGIN.x, y, size);
const text = (id, content, family, size, color, placement, extra) => ({ kind: 'text', id,
  content, fontFamily: family, fontSize: pt(size), color: col(color), placement, ...extra });
La referència és el títol de primer nivell, i la seva obertura es dibuixa amb una ranura d'elements: una caixa violeta a sang, el logotip, i un avanttítol, una entradeta i tres xifres clau que surten dels atributs del títol. Un element d'imatge serveix a la capçalera i al peu de pàgina igual que en una obertura, i el peu comença amb un que apunta al recurs del logotip. Els elements de la capçalera porten `pages: 'body'`, així que cap no apareix a la portada.
## Description
The PX-7021 is a digital temperature sensor for coin-cell designs that must read within a tenth of a degree. A 16-bit converter reads an on-chip bandgap sensor, and every part is trimmed at two temperatures on the production line, so the board needs no calibration and the host no look-up table: one step of the result is 1/128 °C.
Between conversions the sensor sleeps: at one reading a second it draws 1.4 µA on average. Two limit registers drive the open-drain :chip[ALERT] output, which can wake a sleeping host when the temperature leaves a window.
:ref{id="circuit" style="full"} shows the typical circuit, with one decoupling capacitor and the bus pull-ups. With its address pins tied to ground the sensor answers at 48h.
:chip[Preview]{style="preview"} Engineering samples of the DFN versions are available now. The limits in :ref{id="electrical" style="full"} are preliminary and may change before production release.
## Specifications
:::callout{type="ratings"}
- Supply voltage, *V*~DD~ to GND: **−0.3 V to 6 V**
- SDA, SCL and ALERT to GND: **−0.3 V to 6 V**
- A0 to A2 to GND: **−0.3 V to *V*~DD~ + 0.3 V**
- Current into any pin: **±10 mA**
- Storage temperature: **−60 °C to 150 °C**
- Electrostatic discharge, human-body model: **±2 kV**
:::
Stress beyond these ratings can damage the device for good. Design to the operating conditions below.
### Recommended operating conditions
Operate the sensor from 1.6 V to 5.5 V, at ambient temperatures from −40 °C to 125 °C, with less than 50 mV of ripple on the supply. The bus pull-ups may return to any supply up to 5.5 V, so a sensor run from 1.8 V can share a bus with 5 V parts without a level shifter.
### Electrical characteristics
:ref{id="electrical" style="full"} lists the limits over the full supply and temperature range. Typical values are the mean of the characterization lots at 3.3 V and 25 °C; they are not guaranteed. Accuracy is tested on every part at 25 °C and 50 °C; values marked ² come from characterization only.
## Pin configuration and functions
:ref{id="pinout" style="full"} shows the package from above. A dot on the top face marks pin 1, and the pins count counterclockwise from it. The exposed pad under the package is the sensor's thermal path to the board: solder it to a ground pour. :ref{id="pins" style="full"} describes each pin.
## Detailed description
A host talks to the PX-7021 through eleven registers, listed with their reset values in :ref{id="registers" style="full"}. Two-byte registers are read and written most significant byte first.
### Temperature conversion
A conversion takes 10.5 ms at 16 bits and 3.1 ms at 12 bits. In continuous mode the sensor starts a new conversion at the programmed rate, from one every four seconds to eight a second, and sleeps in between; in one-shot mode it converts once, stores the result and shuts down again. The result register always holds the last complete reading, so a read never catches a conversion halfway.
The result is a signed 16-bit value in steps of 1/128 °C. Values above 7FFFh are negative: 1900h reads as 50 °C, and E700h as −50 °C.
### Serial interface
The sensor is a target on an I²C or SMBus bus, at clock rates up to 1 MHz. Tie each of A0, A1 and A2 to ground or to the supply to choose one of eight addresses, from 48h to 4Fh. In SMBus mode a clock held low for more than 30 ms resets the interface, so a host that crashes in mid-transfer cannot lock the bus. The sensor also answers the I²C general-call reset command.
### Alert output
The :chip[ALERT] pin compares every result with the limits in THIGH and TLOW. In comparator mode it stays asserted while the temperature is above THIGH and releases once it falls below TLOW, which gives a thermostat its hysteresis. In interrupt mode it asserts once per crossing, and releases when the host reads STATUS, or when the sensor answers a read of the SMBus alert response address.
## Packaging and ordering
:ref{id="outline" style="full"} draws the package and its land pattern: the DFN-8 body is 2 mm square and 0.55 mm high, with a 0.5 mm pin pitch and a 0.8 × 1.5 mm exposed pad. :ref{id="ordering" style="full"} lists the versions and their order codes. The top of each part carries its number over a date code, YWWL: the year, the work week and the lot.
Parts are rated at moisture sensitivity level 1, so they need no dry storage, and survive three reflow cycles at a peak of 260 °C. Reflow shifts the reading by less than 0.02 °C.
## Layout guidelines
The sensor measures the copper under its exposed pad. For air temperature, place it at the edge of the board, away from regulators and processors, and cut slots in the board around it so that heat from the rest of the circuit reaches it slowly. For the temperature of a surface, do the opposite: a solid pour and a row of vias carry heat from the surface to the pad. Keep the decoupling capacitor on the same side of the board as the sensor and close to its supply pin: 2 mm at most.
## Revision history
**Rev. 0.3**, September 2026: preliminary release, with limits from the first characterization lots. Adds the WLCSP-4 version and the SMBus timeout.
**Rev. 0.2**, May 2026: advance information for early customers, with typical values only.
**Rev. 0.1**, February 2026: product brief, with the target accuracy and supply current.
## Variants
### Separa totes les files amb filets grisos
Amb filets de mig punt en el gris `rule` de la paleta, totes les files queden separades, tinguin fons o no; els blancs desapareixen on es toquen dues files sense fons.
```diff
-    { id: 'electrical', borderColor: col('paper'), borderWidth: pt(1.4), cellPadding: mm(1.1) },
+    { id: 'electrical', borderColor: col('rule'), borderWidth: pt(0.5), cellPadding: mm(1.1) },
```
### Posa els peus de taula sobre una barra
L'estil de peu del tipus taula pot pintar una barra darrere del peu; aquí és del color del text (`ink`), amb el peu en blanc i l'etiqueta en el groc d'advertiment.
```diff
-    ...(type.id === 'table' && { captionStyle: { position: 'above' } }) })),
+    ...(type.id === 'table' && { captionStyle: { position: 'above', backgroundEnabled: true,
+      background: col('ink'), color: col('paper'), labelColor: col('hazard') } }) })),
```
## Errors freqüents
- **Les cel·les combinades necessiten hiddenBy: fes servir mergeCells.** Les cel·les es col·loquen segons la seva posició a la fila, així que una cel·la combinada necessita cel·les de farciment marcades amb hiddenBy on s'estén; ometre-les, com en HTML, desplaça totes les columnes següents. Combina cel·les amb mergeCells.
- **Els estils de taula no tenen files alternes.** Un estil de taula té un emplenament de capçalera i un de sol per al cos, sense files alternes. Emplena una fila de cada dues cel·la a cel·la (setCellBackground) amb un matís enllaçat a la paleta.
- **Una taula 'here' no es parteix mai.** Només es parteixen entre columnes i pàgines les taules flotants; una taula col·locada 'here' es mou sencera. Deixa flotar les taules llargues o mantén curtes les taules en línia.
- **El text dins d'un SVG <img> no pot fer servir fonts web.** Un SVG es dibuixa com a imatge, i una imatge no té accés a les fonts web de la pàgina, de manera que els seus rètols surten amb una font del sistema. Converteix el text en traçats, incrusta un subconjunt @font-face a l'SVG o porta els rètols al peu.
- **Els fitxers latin de Fontsource només porten glifs de l'interval llatí.** El proveïdor del PDF incrusta els fitxers latin de Fontsource, que cobreixen el castellà i les llengües de l'Europa occidental però no →, ≈, ✓, ★, el grec ni les lletres de l'Europa central; aquests glifs falten al PDF. Mantén el text del PDF dins de l'interval latin.
- **Qualsevol objecte headings desactiva el salt de pàgina de l'H1.** Per defecte un H1 salta a una pàgina senar (always-odd), però qualsevol objecte headings anul·la aquest valor, de manera que els capítols van seguits i span: 'page' no fa res. Torna a declarar headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } a cada configuració.
- **Carrega totes les fonts abans de compondre.** La composició mesura el text amb les fonts que el navegador ha carregat i en desa les amplades, així que una font que arriba després de la primera composició deixa talls de línia erronis i un PDF que ja no coincideix amb la pantalla. Carrega abans tots els pesos i estils, i crida clearMeasurementCache() abans de recompondre si alguna arriba tard.
- **Un espai de no separació continua partint la línia.** A postext 1.4.1 l'algorisme de tall tracta U+00A0 com un espai normal, de manera que 0,08 %, 2,006 s o secció 2 poden quedar en dues línies. Ajunta els dos elements (0,08%) o reescriu la frase.
- **Una paleta canviada no arriba als elements de disseny ni al color de les remissions.** postext 1.4.1 aplica colorPalette als estils de text (cos, títols, llistes, peus, taules, requadres), però no als elements de capçaleres, peus de pàgina, obertures i portadelles, ni a bodyText.referenceColor: conserven l'hex escrit al costat del seu paletteId. Si canvies la paleta, per a una edició de pantalla fosca o per recolorejar, reescriu cada color enllaçat a partir de colorPalette abans de compondre.
- **El desbordament del text de disseny és 'ellipsis-end' per defecte.** Un element de text de disseny que no cap en la seva amplada acaba en punts suspensius per defecte. Posa overflow: 'wrap' als títols que hagin de passar a més línies.
- **Una configuració es desa a la memòria cau per identitat: crea un objecte nou.** El motor desa a la memòria cau les configuracions resoltes segons la identitat de l'objecte, de manera que modificar el mateix objecte i tornar a compondre reutilitza el resultat anterior. Crea un objecte nou a cada composició: per això la configuració d'una recepta és una funció, config().
- La primera part d'una taula partida deixa el peu de la seva columna al text quan hi caben tres línies o més a sota, i sempre ho fa en una columna que ja té un flotant. Fes que una taula llarga comenci en una columna sense altres flotants, com el mapa de registres, i ajusta'n les files perquè la primera part arribi al peu de la columna.
- Els elements de text de disseny van centrats per defecte. L'entradeta té una amplada fixa, així que necessita `align: 'left'` per alinear-se sota la referència.
- A l'última pàgina d'un capítol, postext 1.4.1 puja els flotants a tota l'amplada que van sota el text i els deixa a una línia de distància, de manera que una figura `bottom` queda just sota l'última línia i no al peu de la pàgina. La pàgina 4 està redactada per omplir les columnes, i el dibuix de l'encapsulat fa 48,3 mm d'alçada perquè el text de sobre acabi en una línia de la retícula de base. Així el dibuix no té lloc per pujar i acaba a la mateixa altura que el peu de les altres pàgines.
