## Lo que vas a componer

Las páginas 5 y 6 del episodio 8 de *Pepper&Carrot*, «El cumpleaños de Pimienta», de David Revoy, el cómic web de licencia libre (CC BY 4.0) sobre una joven bruja y su gato. Revoy publica sus páginas sin texto y la comunidad traduce la transcripción a decenas de idiomas. Aquí Postext vuelve a juntar esas piezas: las viñetas salen de sus páginas sin texto, la rejilla es la suya, y cada bocadillo, cada grito, la onomatopeya y el título del libro de hechizos los rotula el motor a partir de las traducciones oficiales al inglés, español, catalán, chino, japonés y árabe. Una portada lleva los créditos que pide la licencia.

### 1 · Convierte la transcripción en guion

El código es [la respuesta corta](https://postext.dev/es/cookbook/pepper-and-carrot-page.md#la-respuesta-corta) de arriba. Un script de conversión lee los archivos fuente del episodio: corta cada página en viñetas siguiendo sus calles blancas y escribe la división que ha medido (`29.9 / 49.3 / *` en la página 5), toma las palabras de cada bocadillo del SVG de la traducción y nombra a quien habla a partir de la transcripción ([traducir un cómic](https://postext.dev/es/docs/comics.md#traducir-un-cómic)). El resultado es una línea por bocadillo, `pepper{shout break}: …`, con la forma que tenía el bocadillo original: un contorno quebrado pasa a ser `shout`, un bocadillo que cruzaba el borde, `break`. El acento de los demonios, con sus *š* y *ā*, es de los traductores y se queda.

Los bocadillos de Revoy están en sus archivos fuente como formas vectoriales, rabillos incluidos. La conversión sigue cada rabillo hasta su punta y la guarda como ancla de quien habla, en fracciones de la viñeta, así que los bocadillos nuevos apuntan adonde apuntaban los suyos: a la boca abierta de Pimienta, al demonio del centro ([personajes y anclas](https://postext.dev/es/docs/comics.md#personajes-y-anclas)). Las zonas seguras conservan el motivo de cada viñeta aunque las celdas difieran unos milímetros de las suyas.

El reparto de la respuesta corta da a los demonios bocadillos negros con letra blanca, como los dibuja Revoy, y una voz propia: Grenze Gotisch, una gótica, en las ediciones latinas. El estilo `plate` pone texto sobre un objeto: el título del libro de conjuros, dorado, en Zen Antique y con un halo oscuro fino, girado con `rotate` e inclinado con `skew` para que se asiente en la tapa, partido en líneas con `\` donde la tapa lo parte. Cada edición usa letras para su escritura; los bocadillos japoneses van en vertical, y las páginas japonesa y árabe se leen de derecha a izquierda ([rotulación](https://postext.dev/es/docs/comics.md#rotulación)).

La licencia pide el autor, la fuente, la licencia y una nota de los cambios; la portada los imprime en las palabras de cada edición, tomadas de los créditos del propio episodio. Una de las personas que colaboró en las traducciones española y japonesa es Hồ Nhựt Châu, y las letras vietnamitas están en un archivo de Fontsource aparte: la receta lo carga para la letra de los créditos y se lo pasa al PDF.

## La receta completa

Un solo archivo, compuesto a partir de la carpeta de la receta con el texto de ejemplo y el kit común del Recetario ya incluidos; construye su propia página. Para ejecutarlo, ponlo en un `<script type="module">` de una página vacía o pégalo en el panel JS de un pen nuevo de CodePen (como módulo). Importa postext desde esm.sh, así que no hay nada que instalar ni compilar.

## Errores frecuentes

- **Cualquier objeto headings desactiva el salto de página del H1.** Por defecto un H1 salta a una página impar (always-odd), pero cualquier objeto headings anula ese valor, así que los capítulos van seguidos y span: 'page' no hace nada. Vuelve a declarar headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } en cada configuración.
- **Carga todas las fuentes antes de componer.** La composición mide el texto con las fuentes que el navegador ha cargado y guarda los anchos, así que una fuente que llega después de la primera composición deja cortes de línea erróneos y un PDF que ya no coincide con la pantalla. Carga antes todos los pesos y estilos, y llama a clearMeasurementCache() antes de recomponer si alguna llega tarde.
