## Em poucas palavras

Uma página de quadrinhos sobre um resgate durante uma tempestade que usa todos os tipos de balão, com a folha de estilo do letreirista mostrando como cada um se escreve no roteiro.

## O que você vai compor

A página 7 de *O farol de Porthcove*, uma história em quadrinhos sobre uma noite de tempestade num farol, com a folha de estilo do letreirista na frente. Um pesqueiro perde o motor, o faroleiro o guia pelo rádio, Maya espera com o gato e, de manhã, o mestre do barco agradece. A página usa todos os tipos de balão que o Postext desenha: fala, fala unida, pensamento, sussurro, grito, rádio, recordatórios de narração, voz interior, nota do editor, onomatopeia, uma voz fora de quadro e um balão fixado. O formato é o de um gibi americano, 168 × 259 mm, e a página sai em sete idiomas, entre eles o português.

**Esta receita responde a:**

- Como letreiro balões de pensamento, sussurro, grito e rádio, e aponto cada rabicho para quem fala?
- Como faço para apontar o rabicho do balão para o personagem que fala?
- Como faço para letrear onomatopeias sobre a arte?
- Como faço para escrever os balões de fala em Markdown?

## A resposta curta

```js
// script.js, linhas 46–69
// A script line is `speaker{kind}: text`. The kinds are balloon styles: the engine ships
// speech, thought, whisper, shout, radio, caption, inner, note and sfx, and a style of the
// same id here changes only what it names. `caption`, `note` and `sfx` are reserved speakers.
const balloonStyles = [
  { id: 'speech', stroke: col('ink') }, // an oval, a curved tail to the mouth
  { id: 'thought', stroke: col('ink') }, // a cloud, bubbles to the head
  { id: 'whisper', stroke: col('ink') }, // a dashed outline, 0.9 × the type
  { id: 'shout', stroke: col('ink'), burstPoints: 16 }, // a burst, bold, 1.15 × the type
  { id: 'radio', stroke: col('ink') }, // a zig-zag outline and tail: a voice through a set
  { id: 'caption', fill: col('caption'), stroke: col('ink') }, // narration, butted to a corner
  { id: 'inner', fill: col('inner'), stroke: col('ink') }, // no tail, italic where it can be
  { id: 'note', fill: col('paper'), stroke: col('ink') }, // the editor's note, 0.8 × the type
## Ingredientes
**Ensina**
- [Estilos de balão](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#estilos-de-balão): Uma marca depois do personagem escolhe o balão: pensamento (thought), sussurro (whisper), grito (shout), rádio (radio), voz interior (inner), recordatório (caption) ou nota (note); comics.balloonStyles muda a forma, o contorno, o rabicho, o preenchimento e a fonte deles, ou acrescenta outros.
- [Onomatopeias](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#estilos-de-balão): Uma linha sfx letreira um som sobre a arte, sem balão: uma fonte de display por idioma (Bangers, Dela Gothic One para o japonês), um halo branco, e at=, rotate= e size= para posicioná-lo, incliná-lo e escalá-lo.
- [Personagens e âncoras](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#personagens-e-âncoras): As âncoras de uma imagem marcam a boca, a cabeça e o rosto de cada personagem, e as zonas a evitar marcam as mãos e os objetos que devem ficar à vista; o rabicho do balão aponta para a boca de quem fala, ou para fora do quadro quando quem fala não está nele.
## Preparo
### 1 · Dê nome ao tipo na linha do roteiro
O código é [a resposta curta](https://postext.dev/pt/cookbook/balloon-kinds.md#a-resposta-curta) logo acima. Uma linha do roteiro é `speaker{kind}: text`, e o tipo é o id de um estilo de balão. Os nove estilos embutidos cobrem os tipos de sempre: um oval com rabicho curvo para a fala, uma nuvem com bolinhas para o pensamento, um contorno tracejado para o sussurro, uma explosão com rabicho em cunha para o grito, um contorno em zigue-zague com rabicho em zigue-zague para uma voz pelo rádio ([estilos de balão](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#estilos-de-balão)). Um estilo na configuração com o mesmo id muda só o que ele nomeia: aqui, a cor do traço, o amarelo dos recordatórios e as 16 pontas da explosão. `caption`, `note` e `sfx` são personagens reservados: caixas de narração encaixadas num canto, a nota do editor a 0,8 × o corpo e letras de display sem balão.
![Página 2. A página: um chamado de rádio na sala da lanterna, com recordatório, balão serrilhado de rádio e nota do editor; Maya sussurrando “Calma, Biscuit.” para o gato, que pensa “Será mesmo?” numa nuvem; o faroleiro gritando “Gannet! Rumo à luz!” num balão de explosão; o pesqueiro na tempestade com KA-BRUUM em vermelho; Maya na janela com “Vai. Vai. Vai.” numa caixa cinza de voz interior; a manhã seguinte nas pedras, com os balões unidos “Manda duas.” e “Uma é pro gato.”.](https://postext.dev/cookbook/balloon-kinds/pt/p02.webp?v=fd07f3fc)
*A chamada de rádio: um recordatório, o balão de rádio do mestre apontando para o aparelho, a resposta do faroleiro e a nota do editor.*
### 2 · Aponte cada rabicho para quem fala
Cada desenho traz âncoras em frações da imagem: a boca para onde aponta o rabicho de uma fala, a cabeça para onde aponta um pensamento, o rosto que nenhum balão pode cobrir ([personagens e âncoras](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#personagens-e-âncoras)). O mestre do barco nunca aparece: a âncora dele no desenho da tempestade é o aparelho de rádio e, no desenho do mar, o barco. Quando quem fala não está no quadro, `tail=end` (ou `start`, `top`, `bottom`) leva o rabicho até essa borda, e `at="44% 22%"` fixa o centro de um balão num ponto do desenho, onde ele fica qualquer que seja o recorte. Duas linhas seguidas do mesmo personagem se juntam num só contorno com um só rabicho.
### 3 · Dê a um personagem uma voz própria
O elenco da resposta curta dá a toda linha `skipper:` o estilo de rádio, então o roteiro nunca repete `{radio}`. Uma linha ainda pode dizer outra coisa: no quadro da manhã, o mestre chama do barco, `skipper{speech tail=bottom}:`, num balão comum cujo rabicho sai pelo pé do quadro.
### 4 · Letreire cada edição com as suas próprias fontes
```js
// script.js, linhas 36–42
// The engine's default lettering and sound-effect faces, but for Chinese two ZCOOL faces drawn
// for cartoons. content.<lang>.md holds the words under the same speaker ids.
const [LETTERING, SFX] = t({
  en: ['Comic Neue', 'Bangers'], es: ['Comic Neue', 'Bangers'], ca: ['Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
  ja: ['Zen Antique', 'Dela Gothic One'], zh: ['ZCOOL KuaiLe', 'ZCOOL QingKe HuangYou'],
  ar: ['Playpen Sans Arabic', 'Lalezar'], pt: ['Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
});
```
A mesma página sai em sete idiomas: `content.<lang>.md` só traz as palavras. Os balões japoneses são compostos na vertical em Zen Antique e as onomatopeias em Dela Gothic One; os árabes, em Playpen Sans Arabic, com Lalezar para o trovão. Itálico e negrito valem onde a fonte os tem: a voz interior sai em itálico em português e em redondo em japonês ([letreiramento](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#letreiramento)).
## A receita completa
Um único arquivo, composto a partir da pasta da receita com o texto de exemplo e o kit comum das Receitas já incluídos; ele monta a própria página. Para executá-lo, coloque-o em um `<script type="module">` de uma página vazia ou cole-o no painel JS de um pen novo do CodePen (como módulo). Ele importa o postext do esm.sh, então não há nada para instalar nem compilar.
## O farol de Porthcove · edição 3 · página 7
Cada linha do roteiro é um balão: quem fala, o tipo entre chaves quando não é uma fala comum, dois-pontos e o texto. As formas da lista são as da página 2.
- **Fala.** :chip[tomas: Manda duas.]{style="code"} Um oval; o rabicho para um pouco antes da boca de quem fala.
- **Balões unidos.** Duas linhas :chip[tomas:]{style="code"} seguidas se fundem num só contorno, com um só rabicho.
- **Pensamento.** :chip[biscuit{thought}:]{style="code"} Uma nuvem, com bolinhas que sobem até a cabeça.
- **Sussurro.** :chip[maya{whisper}:]{style="code"} Contorno tracejado e letras menores.
- **Grito.** :chip[tomas{shout}:]{style="code"} Um balão de explosão, em negrito, um tamanho acima.
- **Rádio.** O capitão fala pelo aparelho: o elenco dá a cada linha :chip[skipper:]{style="code"} um contorno serrilhado e um rabicho em zigue-zague.
- **Recordatório.** :chip[caption:]{style="code"} Narração numa caixa amarela, encaixada num canto.
- **Voz interior.** :chip[maya{inner}:]{style="code"} O que ela não diz em voz alta: sem rabicho, caixa cinza, itálico.
- **Nota do editor.** :chip[note:]{style="code"} Pequena, no canto inferior do quadro.
- **Onomatopeia.** :chip[sfx{at="16% 28%" rotate=-10}:]{style="code"} Sem balão: letras de cartaz em vermelho com contorno branco, posicionadas e giradas à mão.
- **Fora de quadro.** :chip[tomas{tail=end}:]{style="code"} Quem fala está fora da imagem; o rabicho vai até a borda do quadro.
- **Fixado.** :chip[skipper{at="44% 22%"}:]{style="code"} O balão fica centrado nesse ponto da imagem, qualquer que seja o recorte.
## Variações
### Use um balão ondulado para uma voz fraca ou doente
Qualquer outro id vira um estilo próprio, aplicado sobre o balão de fala.
```diff
 const balloonStyles = [
+  { id: 'weak', shape: 'wavy', stroke: col('ink'), fontScale: 0.9 }, // maya{weak}: …
   { id: 'speech', stroke: col('ink') },
```
### Junte duas linhas com um gargalo
```diff
-  lettering: { fontFamily: LETTERING, fontSize: pt(7.5), color: col('ink'), inset: mm(1) },
+  lettering: { fontFamily: LETTERING, fontSize: pt(7.5), color: col('ink'), inset: mm(1),
+    joinSameSpeaker: 'connector' },
```
## Erros comuns
- **Qualquer objeto headings desativa a quebra de página do H1.** Por padrão, um H1 salta para uma página ímpar (always-odd), mas passar qualquer objeto headings redefine esse padrão, então os capítulos ficam emendados e span: 'page' não faz nada. Declare de novo headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } em toda configuração.
- **Carregue todas as fontes antes do layout.** O motor de layout mede o texto com as fontes que o navegador carregou e guarda as larguras em cache, então uma fonte que chega depois da primeira composição deixa quebras de linha erradas e um PDF que não corresponde mais à tela. Carregue antes todos os pesos e estilos e chame clearMeasurementCache() antes de recompor quando alguma chegar atrasada.
- Um ponto fixado é um ponto do desenho, mantido qualquer que seja o recorte. Uma onomatopeia fixada tão perto da borda que sairia do quadro (KA-BRUUM em `at="16% 28%"`) é empurrada de volta para dentro, então pode ficar um pouco afastada do ponto escrito.
- Uma voz fora de quadro é letreirada junto à borda para onde aponta o rabicho: o agradecimento do mestre, `tail=bottom`, fica no pé do quadro da manhã, embora seja a primeira linha do quadro. Aponte o rabicho para a borda de cima quando uma linha dessas tiver de ser lida primeiro.
