## O que você vai compor

Uma antologia de sete páginas com dois textos fundadores da República da China: a proclamação com que Sun Wen assumiu o cargo em 1º de janeiro de 1912 e os dois primeiros capítulos da Constituição Provisória de 11 de março. As páginas são compostas na vertical, numa página de 184 × 260 mm encadernada pela direita. Os documentos mantêm os seus numerais chineses, 民國元年三月十一日. As apresentações e as notas, em letra Kai, dão em algarismos arábicos as datas do calendário ocidental, as quantidades e os números de série, e são esses algarismos que a receita compõe: 10月10日 põe cada número em pé na sua casa, 1912 e Sun Yat-sen vão deitados de lado, 民國115年 encaixa três algarismos numa casa e ROC empilha as suas letras. Uma capa vermelhão dentro de um fio duplo, uma faixa vermelhão onde cada documento abre e cabeços na margem externa com fólios em numerais chineses emolduram o texto.

## Preparo

### 1 · Deixar os números curtos para a configuração

O código é [a resposta curta](https://postext.dev/pt/cookbook/chinese-dates-upright.md#a-resposta-curta) lá em cima. Com `cjk.uprightDigits: 2`, toda sequência de um ou dois algarismos num texto vertical fica em pé numa casa de um eme, os dois algarismos lado a lado: 10月10日, 第35號 e 7章56條 não precisam de marcação. Um número mais longo é composto inteiro de lado, como uma palavra latina, que é como o clreq compõe os números de quatro algarismos, então 1912 e 1644 descem pela linha girados um quarto de volta. Um número de três algarismos que deva ficar em pé leva uma marca: `民國:tcy[115]年` comprime o 115 dentro do eme. `:upright[ROC]` põe cada letra em pé numa casa própria, uma embaixo da outra, e a linha nunca quebra no meio ([números em texto vertical](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/configuration.md#números-em-texto-vertical)).

Os textos de 1912 ficam como foram impressos. As notas do editor seguem as normas de Taiwan para números, os 公文書橫式書寫數字使用原則 do Yuan Executivo, de 2004: datas, números de série e quantidades levam algarismos arábicos (1912年3月8日, 第35號, 7章56條), enquanto nomes próprios, expressões fixas e números redondos mantêm os numerais chineses (東三省, 四萬萬, 四億), assim como a data lunar, 辛亥年八月十九日. Quando uma nota cita um título ou um termo dos documentos, mantém a forma deles, 第一章 e 二十二行省. Essas normas foram escritas para documentos horizontais; compostos na vertical, os seus algarismos são justamente os que a receita precisa pôr em pé.

Num fluxo vertical, o alto da página é a borda direita da folha, onde a leitura começa. Um design de título ancorado no alto da sangria é, portanto, uma faixa que desce pela borda direita, e o seu `size.height` é a sua largura no papel. Os deslocamentos giram com o fluxo: `x` mede para baixo na folha, `y` para a esquerda. A grade centra a mancha entre as margens, e `HEAD` repete essa conta, para que o título comece na altura do primeiro caractere de cada linha. `align: 'right'` leva a data ao pé da sua linha, onde as linhas de texto terminam, e `cjk.uprightDigits` alcança também o texto do design: o 11 de 3月11日 fica numa casa só, como no corpo. A faixa é a de [Abertura de capítulo sobre uma faixa sangrada](https://postext.dev/pt/cookbook/chapter-opener-bleed-band.md), girada um quarto de volta.

Um design de título não tem paridade, então a faixa sempre desce pela borda direita da folha. Na página 2, uma página da direita, essa borda é o corte dianteiro; na página 5, uma página da esquerda num livro encadernado pela direita, é a lombada, e o título começa a 8 mm da dobra, dentro da margem interna de 21,6 mm. Um caderno grampeado abre o bastante para isso. Num livro costurado ou colado, abra cada documento numa página da direita com `breakBefore.parity: 'even'`, que deixa a página 5 em branco.

### 3 · Pôr os cabeços na margem externa

`anchor.to: 'outer'` é a margem do lado oposto à lombada, então num livro encadernado pela direita os cabeços descem pela borda esquerda do recto e pela borda direita do verso. O título fica quatro caracteres abaixo do alto da mancha e o fólio termina cinco acima do pé, ambos na vertical, a 80 % do corpo do texto ([elementos de texto verticais](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/configuration.md#elementos-de-texto-verticais)). `pageNumbering.format: 'trad-chinese-informal'` imprime os fólios 三, 四, 六 e 七, e `pages: 'body'` os tira das duas aberturas.

Um design de título dentro de uma coluna é cortado no pé da coluna, e numa página vertical esse pé é a margem esquerda: um campo ancorado na sangria parava a 21,6 mm do refile esquerdo. Com `span: 'page'`, o título é composto como faixa de página, que não é cortada, e o campo chega às duas bordas. As duas molduras desenham o fio duplo, grosso e fino, dos livros impressos chineses: 1,6 pt e 0,5 pt, a 2 mm um do outro.

A Fontsource serve cada peso destas fontes em cerca de cem arquivos, cada um cobrindo uma faixa de caracteres, e `loadCjkFonts` carrega os arquivos que um texto toca. Recebendo só os títulos, os avisos de selo, o colofão, as linhas da capa e os fólios, cada peso da Noto Sans TC carrega 10 arquivos; com a amostra inteira, carregaria 35, e são três pesos. A LXGW WenKai TC recebe as apresentações e as notas e carrega 16. Uma fonte que recebe texto de menos faz a captura falhar (C12), e a captura nomeia os caracteres que precisou pegar de uma fonte de reserva.

## A receita completa

Um único arquivo, composto a partir da pasta da receita com o texto de exemplo e o kit comum das Receitas já incluídos; ele monta a própria página. Para executá-lo, coloque-o em um `<script type="module">` de uma página vazia ou cole-o no painel JS de um pen novo do CodePen (como módulo). 1912年1月1日晚上10時，孫文在南京就任中華民國臨時大總統，宣誓受印之後，以這篇宣言書布告國民。同月29日《臨時政府公報》創刊，第1號第3至6頁刊出全文，題作〈臨時大總統宣言書〉，字句略異。本篇據廣州市博物館藏原件排印；原件沒有標點，也不分段，標點與分段從維基文庫整理本。

中華民國締造之始，而文以不德，膺臨時大總統之任，夙夜戒懼，慮無以副國民之望。夫中國專制政治之毒，至二百餘年來而滋甚，一旦以國民之力踣而去之，起事不過數旬，光復已十餘行省，自有歷史以來成功未有如是之速也。國民以為於內無統一之機關，於外無對待之主體，建設之事更不容緩，於是以組織臨時政府之責相屬。自推功讓能之觀念以言，文所不敢任也；自服務盡責之觀念以言，則文所不敢辭也。是用黽勉從國民之後，能盡掃專制之流毒，確定共和，以達革命之宗旨，完國民之志願，端在今日。敢披瀝肝膽，為國民告：

國家之本，在於人民。合漢、滿、蒙、回、藏諸地為一國，即合漢、滿、蒙、回、藏諸族為一人。——是曰民族之統一。

武漢首義，十數行省先後獨立。所謂獨立，對於清廷為脫離，對於各省為聯合。蒙古、西藏，意亦同此。行動既一，決無歧趨，樞機成於中央，斯經緯周於四至。——是曰領土之統一。

血鐘一鳴，義旗四起，擁甲帶戈之士遍於十餘行省。雖編製或不一，號令或不齊，而目的所在則無不同。由共同之目的，以為共同之行動，整齊劃一，夫豈其難？——是曰軍政之統一。

國家幅員遼闊，各省自有其風氣所宜。前此清廷強以中央集權之法行之，遂其偽立憲之術；今者各省聯合，互謀自治，此後行政，期於中央政府與各省之關係調劑得宜。大綱既挈，條目自舉。——是曰內治之統一。

滿清時代，借立憲之名，行斂財之實，雜捐苛細，民不聊生。此後國家經費，取給於民，必期合於理財學理，而尤在改良社會經濟組織，使人民知有生之樂。——是曰財政之統一。

以上數者，為政務之方針，持此進行，庶無大過。

若夫革命主義，為吾儕所昌言，萬國所同喻，前此雖屢起屢躓，外人無不鑒其用心。八月以來，義旗飆發，諸友邦對之抱和平之望、持中立之態，而報紙及輿論尤每表其同情。鄰誼之篤，良足深謝。臨時政府成立以後，當盡文明國應盡之義務，以期享文明國應享之權利。滿清時代辱國之舉措與排外之心理，務一洗而去之。與我友邦益增睦誼，持和平主義，將使中國見重於國際社會，且將使世界漸趨於大同。循序以進，不為幸獲。對外方針，實在於是。

夫民國新建，外交內政百緒繁生，文自顧何人，而克勝此？然而臨時之政府，革命時代之政府也。十餘年來從事於革命者，皆以誠摯純潔之精神戰勝所遇之艱難。即使後此之艱難遠逾於前日，而吾人惟保此革命之精神，一往而莫之能阻，必使中華民國之基礎確定於大地，然後臨時政府之職務始盡，而吾人始可告無罪於國民也。今以與我國民初相見之日，披布腹心，惟我四萬萬之同胞共鑒之。

Com 3, o 268 e o 115 das notas ocupam a sua casa sem marcação, como faria qualquer número de artigo ou de página até 999; 1912 continua de lado.

## Erros comuns

- **Fontes chinesas são carregadas em fatias, pelo bloco cjk.** O Fontsource serve uma família chinesa, japonesa ou coreana em cerca de cem arquivos por peso, cada um com um intervalo de caracteres. loadFonts baixa só o arquivo latin, então na tela os caracteres chineses vêm de uma fonte do sistema e são medidos errado, e o fontsourceProvider entrega ao PDF esse arquivo latin, que os imprime como caixas vazias. Inclua o bloco cjk do kit, chame loadCjkFonts(FONTS, markdown) depois de loadFonts (uma vez por voz, com o texto que ela compõe, quando o livro usa várias fontes CJK) e passe a renderToPdf fontProvider: cjkPdfProvider: os dois pegam os arquivos que contêm os caracteres do texto.
- **Marque o documento como zh-Hans ou zh-Hant, não com LANG.** As edições de uma receita são en e es, mas uma amostra chinesa é chinesa nas duas: `locale: LANG` a marcaria como inglês ou espanhol, hifenizaria as suas palavras latinas, chamaria as suas figuras de Figure ou Figura e daria ao PDF o idioma errado. Escreva você mesmo a marcação: 'zh-Hans' (convenções da China continental: quebra de linha GB, pontuação Kaiming) ou 'zh-Hant' (Taiwan: pontuação de largura inteira centralizada); 'zh-HK' para Hong Kong. Um 'zh' sozinho é lido como chinês simplificado continental. Uma amostra japonesa leva 'ja' (armadilha ja-locale-tag).
- **Um livro encadernado pela direita mostra as páginas duplas com showBook.** Em um livro encadernado pela direita (texto árabe, hebraico ou persa, chinês vertical, ou page.binding 'right') a página 1 continua sendo a ímpar, mas fica à esquerda da lombada, e os pares se leem [3 | 2]. showPages dispõe todos os livros como se fossem encadernados pela esquerda; showBook, do bloco book (o bloco cjk traz a mesma função), lê doc.binding e espelha os pares. capture.hero continua nomeando uma página dupla em ordem de leitura, [par, ímpar]: [2, 3].
- **Qualquer objeto headings desativa a quebra de página do H1.** Por padrão, um H1 salta para uma página ímpar (always-odd), mas passar qualquer objeto headings redefine esse padrão, então os capítulos ficam emendados e span: 'page' não faz nada. Declare de novo headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } em toda configuração.
- **A configuração fica em cache pela identidade: crie um objeto novo.** O motor guarda em cache as configurações resolvidas pela identidade do objeto, então alterar uma configuração no próprio objeto e compor de novo reaproveita o resultado antigo. Crie um objeto novo a cada composição; por isso a configuração de uma receita é uma função, config().
- **Carregue todas as fontes antes do layout.** O motor de layout mede o texto com as fontes que o navegador carregou e guarda as larguras em cache, então uma fonte que chega depois da primeira composição deixa quebras de linha erradas e um PDF que não corresponde mais à tela. Carregue antes todos os pesos e estilos e chame clearMeasurementCache() antes de recompor quando alguma chegar atrasada.

- A Noto Serif TC, do jeito que a Fontsource a serve, não tem 爲 nem 敎: a sua folha de estilo declara os dois, mas nenhum arquivo traz o glifo. A impressão de 1912 da constituição escreve 為 e 教 nessas formas. O canvas desenhou 敎 com uma fonte do sistema e o PDF não tinha glifo para ele, o que a captura acusou (C25). A antologia compõe 為 e 教, leva junto 靑 e 决 para 青 e 決, e a apresentação avisa.
- A LXGW WenKai TC, do jeito que a Fontsource a serve, desenha 即, 為, 青 e 教 nas formas antigas 卽, 爲, 靑 e 敎, que destoam ao lado dos mesmos caracteres no texto em Song. As notas foram redigidas sem esses quatro; só a apresentação que lista as formas antigas da constituição precisa deles. Leia em tamanho real o texto em Kai das suas próprias notas.
- Um número composto de lado se separa do chinês ao redor como uma palavra latina, um quarto de eme de cada lado (`cjk.latinSpacing`), e por isso as apresentações mostram `1912 年`; um número numa casa só não leva espaço, como um caractere chinês.
