## Em poucas palavras

Uma página de HQ desenhada uma vez e diagramada de três jeitos. As mesmas cinco imagens e os mesmos diálogos preenchem três grades de quadros diferentes, e cada imagem é recortada de novo para caber no quadro.

## O que você vai compor

Uma prova de diagramação para uma página de HQ, *O farol de Porthcove*: uma folha de rosto e a mesma página em três planos, para o autor escolher. As cinco imagens (Maya subindo ao farol, o avô diante de um rádio mudo, Maya apontando para o chão, o gato dormindo sobre o cabo, o farol aceso à noite) e as seis falas letreiradas nunca mudam; muda só o `split` de cada `:::page`. Cada imagem é recortada de novo para a sua célula e cada balão é posicionado de novo junto de quem fala. O formato é o do gibi americano, 168 × 259 mm, e a prova sai em sete edições, cada uma letreirada no seu idioma.

## Preparo

### 1 · Corte a página com uma árvore de divisão

O código é [a resposta curta](https://postext.dev/pt/cookbook/comic-page-splitters.md#a-resposta-curta) lá em cima. Um `:::page` ocupa a mancha, aqui 144 × 227 mm, e o atributo `split` a corta. `/` separa linhas, `|` separa colunas, cada medida é uma porcentagem da célula que ela corta, `*` reparte o que sobra e um colchete corta aquela célula de novo no outro eixo ([dividir a página](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#dividir-a-página)). O plano C, `30 [30 | 20 | *] / *`, faz uma fileira com 30% da altura, divide essa fileira em células de 30% e 20% de largura mais o resto e deixa embaixo uma única célula alta. As sarjetas ficam a cavalo de cada linha de corte: 4 mm entre fileiras, 3 mm entre quadros da mesma fileira. As linhas `::panel` preenchem as células na ordem de leitura, as linhas de cima para baixo e as colunas a partir do lado de início.

Cada imagem é desenhada uma vez e recortada para preencher a célula em que cair. A área segura é a parte que todo recorte conserva inteira ([quadros e arte](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#quadros-e-arte)). A área segura da imagem do rádio é só o faroleiro, 24% da largura, então a célula de 26 mm do plano C mostra o personagem do boné às botas e deixa o rádio de fora; as células largas dos planos A e B mostram os dois. Uma célula cujo formato não comporta a área segura recebe a imagem com faixas vazias, e a composição avisa (`comicPanelLetterbox`). As âncoras marcam a boca e o rosto de cada personagem nas mesmas frações, de modo que os rabichos encontram quem fala em qualquer recorte.

### 3 · Ponha um quadro sobre outro

A divisão do plano C cria quatro células para cinco quadros. O gato entra com `inset="50 50 46 46"`: um quadro de 46% da largura e 46% da altura, colocado em 50%, 50% do quadro anterior, o de Maya. Um quadro sobreposto não ocupa célula, então os quadros seguintes mantêm o lugar, e ele é lido logo depois do quadro que cobre.

A divisão, as imagens, os recortes e as âncoras são iguais em todos os idiomas; `content.<lang>.md` guarda só as palavras, com os mesmos ids de personagem (`maya`, `tomas`). A edição japonesa compõe os balões na vertical, oito caracteres por coluna, e tira o 。 final; ela é lida da direita para a esquerda, como a árabe, por isso os quadros de cada fileira se espelham, mas as imagens não. O corpo do letreiramento fica em 8 pt em todas as edições: uma fala mais longa dá um balão maior, nunca uma letra menor ([letreiramento](https://postext.dev/pt/docs/comics.md#letreiramento)).

## A receita completa

Um único arquivo, composto a partir da pasta da receita com o texto de exemplo e o kit comum das Receitas já incluídos; ele monta a própria página. Para executá-lo, coloque-o em um `<script type="module">` de uma página vazia ou cole-o no painel JS de um pen novo do CodePen (como módulo). ## Variações

### Incline a fileira do meio

Uma medida escrita `30~40` leva a sarjeta final daquela célula de 30% numa ponta a 40% na outra. Células inclinadas perdem os cantos arredondados.

### Espelhe a arte nas edições da direita para a esquerda

Por padrão, as imagens mantêm a orientação. Uma HQ desenhada sem letreiros nem relógios pode seguir o sentido de leitura.

## Erros comuns

- **Qualquer objeto headings desativa a quebra de página do H1.** Por padrão, um H1 salta para uma página ímpar (always-odd), mas passar qualquer objeto headings redefine esse padrão, então os capítulos ficam emendados e span: 'page' não faz nada. Declare de novo headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity } em toda configuração.
- **Carregue todas as fontes antes do layout.** O motor de layout mede o texto com as fontes que o navegador carregou e guarda as larguras em cache, então uma fonte que chega depois da primeira composição deixa quebras de linha erradas e um PDF que não corresponde mais à tela. Carregue antes todos os pesos e estilos e chame clearMeasurementCache() antes de recompor quando alguma chegar atrasada.

- Uma célula com um quinto da largura da página comporta umas quatro palavras por linha em 8 pt, e no plano C o rosto do faroleiro está no meio da célula dele: os dois balões sobre a tempestade são mais altos que o espaço acima ou abaixo do rosto. Ali a primeira das duas falas leva `break` (`tomas{break}:`), e assim o par pode atravessar a sarjeta até o quadro de Maya; o motor mantém o segundo balão depois do primeiro e nunca o deixa invadir a margem da página. Sem `break`, a composição avisa `comicBalloonOverflow`. Na edição em português as duas falas são curtas o bastante para ficar empilhadas abaixo do rosto, dentro da célula do faroleiro.
- Uma área segura mais justa dá um recorte limpo em mais células, mas o que fica fora dela pode ser cortado: as botas na primeira fileira do plano A, o rádio no plano C.
