## 简单来说

报纸漫画版的两页：封面是一大幅彩色漫画；内页是分四栏的漫画家专访，底部横着一条四格日更漫画。

## 成品一览

周末报纸《科灵顿快报》的漫画副刊，折成 230 × 310 mm。封面是《皮普和奥托》的周日半版，讲一只企鹅和一头海象在浮冰上开面包店，下面是内容提要。内页是对漫画家的专访，分四栏排，还有读者来信和一则广告；本周的日更漫画（四个方格）横在页面底部。两组漫画都是报纸正文里的 `:::strip` 块，副刊有六种语言的版本。

**这份食谱回答的问题:**

- 怎样把漫画条放进报纸版面，横跨正文的几栏？

## 简短回答

```js
// script.js, 行 56–77
// In the Markdown each strip is a fenced block, where the paper wants it:
//   :::strip{split="55 / * [40 | *]" height=210mm}   the Sunday half page, on the cover
//   :::strip{split="* | * | * | *" span=page placement=bottom}   the daily: four square panels
// On the one-column cover the Sunday strip is set in the text, 210 mm deep. Inside, the daily
// floats to the foot of the page, as wide as its four columns, and the columns of the article
// end level above it. A strip never splits; one that does not fit moves to the next page.
// The panels, gutters and balloons come from the comics settings, as on a comic page.
const comics = {
  gutter: { horizontal: mm(3), vertical: mm(3) },
  panel: { borderWidth: pt(0.75), borderColor: col('ink'), background: col('paper') },
  lettering: { fontFamily: LETTERING, fontSize: pt(7.5), color: col('ink'), inset: mm(1) },
  balloonStyles: [
  ],
};
const layout = { layoutType: 'multiple', columnCount: 4, gutterWidth: mm(GUTTER),
## 做法
### 1 · 把漫画条写在报纸需要的位置
代码就是上面的[简短回答](https://postext.dev/zh/cookbook/newspaper-daily-strip.md#简短回答)。`:::strip` 的内容和漫画页一样（`split`、`::panel` 行和脚本），但它是正文中的一个块（[漫画条](https://postext.dev/zh/docs/comics.md#漫画条)）。封面只有一栏，周日漫画就排在写它的地方，高 210 mm，内容提要接在后面。它的分割 `55 / * [40 | *]` 让宽幅的钓鱼场面独占一层，下面一排放两个笑话。漫画条从不拆开：放不下就整个移到下一页。
![第 1 页。. 漫画副刊封面：红色的“漫画版”版头，周日半版（皮普和奥托在浮冰上钓鱼，皮普钓到一条小鱼，奥托钓上一只靴子），下面三行内容提要。](https://postext.dev/cookbook/newspaper-daily-strip/zh/p01.webp?v=0e99f103)
*封面：周日半版排在正文中，下面是内容提要。*
### 2 · 让日更漫画浮动横跨几栏
内页以一个 H1 开头，它的标题样式把这一节改成四栏。日更漫画紧接在后面，写成 `span=page placement=bottom`：它浮动到页面底部，宽度等于四栏，文章的四栏在它上方齐平结束。不写 `height` 和 `aspect` 时，漫画条取能让格子成为正方形的比例，这里是四比一。写成 `placement=top` 的话，它会出现在下一页的顶部，因为浮动体永远不会排到写它的位置之上。
### 3 · 让每幅画面适合自己的格子
```js
// script.js, 行 253–332
// From the art manifest; fractions of each picture, the same in every language.
const face = (x, y, width, height) => ({ x, y, width, height });

};
```
画面画成方形或横幅，而周日分割出来的格子并不是这些形状：靴子那个笑话所在的格子是 112 × 88 mm。每个安全区都只保留笑话需要的部分：皮普、奥托和靴子，这样裁切时画面不会留白边（[分格与画面](https://postext.dev/zh/docs/comics.md#分格与画面)）。
### 4 · 同一版面印六份报纸
```js
// script.js, 行 35–46
const [TEXT, LABEL, LETTERING, SFX] = t({
  en: ['Newsreader', 'Archivo Narrow', 'Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
  es: ['Newsreader', 'Archivo Narrow', 'Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
  ca: ['Newsreader', 'Archivo Narrow', 'Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
  pt: ['Newsreader', 'Archivo Narrow', 'Comic Neue', 'Bangers'],
  zh: ['Noto Serif SC', 'Noto Sans SC', 'ZCOOL KuaiLe', 'ZCOOL QingKe HuangYou'],
  ja: ['Noto Serif JP', 'Noto Sans JP', 'Zen Antique', 'Dela Gothic One'],
  ar: ['Noto Naskh Arabic', 'Noto Kufi Arabic', 'Playpen Sans Arabic', 'Lalezar'],
});
const CJK = LANG === 'zh' || LANG === 'ja';
// Design text aligns to physical sides: an Arabic page starts on the right.
const [START, END] = LANG === 'ar' ? ['right', 'left'] : ['left', 'right'];
```
每个版本用适合本文字的字体排报纸，用自己的漫画字体嵌字。日文对话框竖排。日文版和阿拉伯文版都从右往左读漫画，每一排的格子左右对调；阿拉伯文版整页从右往左排，页面的栏也左右对调。画面和分割不变，只换 `content.<lang>.md`（[阅读方向](https://postext.dev/zh/docs/comics.md#阅读方向)）。
## 完整食谱
一个文件，由食谱文件夹合成，示例文本和排版食谱的公共工具包都已内联；它自己排出页面。要运行它，把它放进空白页面的`<script type="module">`，或粘贴到新建CodePen的JS面板里（设为模块）。它从esm.sh导入postext，不需要安装或构建。
本报文化记者 露丝·奥卡福
:::
伊内丝·巴洛每个工作日的早上，都坐在盐沼巷家中的厨房餐桌前画一只企鹅和一头海象，一画就是十年。《皮普和奥托》2016年10月17日首次登上《科灵顿快报》，挤在填字游戏下面。如今它在十一家报纸上连载，有六种语言，仍然只用四个方格。
“规矩是笑点必须落在第四格，早一格都不行，”巴洛说，“要是奥托在第二格就逗乐了，这一天的漫画就白画了。”皮普个子小，有礼貌，总是饿。奥托在一块浮冰上开面包店，系着领结上班，从来没有正面回答过一个问题。读者给他们俩都写信，大部分是写给奥托的。
巴洛是在哈罗路父母的面包店楼上长大的，羊角面包就是这么来的。企鹅来得晚一些，出自祖母从开普敦寄来的一张明信片。“我九岁的时候在订货本背面画了皮普，那时他就围着围巾了。奥托又花了我二十年。”
2016年夏天，她把最早的六组漫画寄给快报，附信只有一行。当时的漫画编辑马丁·弗莱让它试登一个月。这个试用期到现在还没结束。已经退休的弗莱，至今仍提前一天收到邮寄来的漫画。“哪个笑话不够好，他会告诉我，”巴洛说，“他通常是对的。”
每周一，她先在A4纸上用铅笔画五张草稿，每张四格。到周三，线稿上墨、上色完成。画稿送到报社时上面一个字也没有；文字另外寄，是一份简短的脚本：谁说话，在第几格，说什么。拟声词也单独占一行。
这个习惯始于2019年的法文版。“一组漫画用手写两遍字，就是一个星期的活儿，”她说，“现在每家报纸用自己的语言排字，再围着文字画对话框。”西班牙的报纸收到的是“¡Recién salido del horno!”；日文版把对话框排成竖行，和阿拉伯文版一样从右往左读格子。画面从来不改。
星期天的漫画是四格规矩的例外。它占半个版面，是彩色的，巴洛把它当成短篇故事来画：三格，笑话来得慢一些，通常还有一条鱼。本周的那一篇登在封面上。
这对搭档接下来干什么？“奥托要学滑冰，”巴洛说，“他不会喜欢的。”
## 变化
### 固定日更漫画的高度
```diff
-:::strip{split="* | * | * | *" span=page placement=bottom}
+:::strip{split="* | * | * | *" span=page placement=bottom height=45mm}
```
### 在正文里放一栏宽的漫画条
不写 `span=page` 时，漫画条和所在栏一样宽，排在写它的地方，就像行内插图。
```diff
-:::strip{split="* | * | * | *" span=page placement=bottom}
+:::strip{split="* / * / * / *" aspect=0.25}
```
## 常见问题
- **传入任何headings对象都会关掉H1换页.** 默认情况下，H1换页到右页（always-odd），但只要传入headings对象，这个默认值就会被重置，于是各章接排，span: 'page'也不起作用。在每份配置中重新写明headings.levels[0].breakBefore: { enabled: true, parity }。
- **排版前加载所有字体.** 排版用浏览器已加载的字体测量文字，并缓存宽度，所以首次构建之后才到的字体会造成断行错误，PDF也不再与屏幕一致。先加载所有字重和样式；有字体迟到时，重新构建前调用clearMeasurementCache()。
- **'top'浮动体不会出现在引用它的那一页.** 浮动体不会排在自己的引用之前，所以在第N页引用的整页宽'top'浮动体会出现在第N+1页的顶部。把引用提前，或者使用position 'auto'或'bottom'，它们可以占用引用页的底部。
- 版头由页眉画出，而不是带开篇设计的 H1，所以封面漫画上方只有页码行。
- 安全区比格子的形状更宽时，画面会留出格子底色的白边，排版给出 `comicPanelLetterbox` 警告。
