#1 · Dê nome ao tipo na linha do roteiro

O código é a resposta curta logo acima. Uma linha do roteiro é speaker{kind}: text, e o tipo é o id de um estilo de balão. Os nove estilos embutidos cobrem os tipos de sempre: um oval com rabicho curvo para a fala, uma nuvem com bolinhas para o pensamento, um contorno tracejado para o sussurro, uma explosão com rabicho em cunha para o grito, um contorno em zigue-zague com rabicho em zigue-zague para uma voz pelo rádio (estilos de balão). Um estilo na configuração com o mesmo id muda só o que ele nomeia: aqui, a cor do traço, o amarelo dos recordatórios e as 16 pontas da explosão. caption, note e sfx são personagens reservados: caixas de narração encaixadas num canto, a nota do editor a 0,8 × o corpo e letras de display sem balão.

Cada desenho traz âncoras em frações da imagem: a boca para onde aponta o rabicho de uma fala, a cabeça para onde aponta um pensamento, o rosto que nenhum balão pode cobrir (personagens e âncoras). O mestre do barco nunca aparece: a âncora dele no desenho da tempestade é o aparelho de rádio e, no desenho do mar, o barco. Quando quem fala não está no quadro, tail=end (ou start, top, bottom) leva o rabicho até essa borda, e at="44% 22%" fixa o centro de um balão num ponto do desenho, onde ele fica qualquer que seja o recorte. Duas linhas seguidas do mesmo personagem se juntam num só contorno com um só rabicho.

#3 · Dê a um personagem uma voz própria

O elenco da resposta curta dá a toda linha skipper: o estilo de rádio, então o roteiro nunca repete {radio}. Uma linha ainda pode dizer outra coisa: no quadro da manhã, o mestre chama do barco, skipper{speech tail=bottom}:, num balão comum cujo rabicho sai pelo pé do quadro.

Qualquer objeto headings desativa a quebra de página do H1

Por padrão, um H1 salta para uma página ímpar (always-odd), mas passar qualquer objeto headings redefine esse padrão, então os capítulos ficam emendados e span: 'page' não faz nada. Erro comum

Carregue todas as fontes antes do layout

O motor de layout mede o texto com as fontes que o navegador carregou e guarda as larguras em cache, então uma fonte que chega depois da primeira composição deixa quebras de linha erradas e um PDF que não corresponde mais à tela. Carregue antes todos os pesos e estilos e chame clearMeasurementCache() antes de recompor quando alguma chegar atrasada. Fontes antes da diagramação →

  • Um ponto fixado é um ponto do desenho, mantido qualquer que seja o recorte. Uma onomatopeia fixada tão perto da borda que sairia do quadro (KA-BRUUM em at="16% 28%") é empurrada de volta para dentro, então pode ficar um pouco afastada do ponto escrito.
  • Uma voz fora de quadro é letreirada junto à borda para onde aponta o rabicho: o agradecimento do mestre, tail=bottom, fica no pé do quadro da manhã, embora seja a primeira linha do quadro. Aponte o rabicho para a borda de cima quando uma linha dessas tiver de ser lida primeiro.
