Preparo
#1 · Sangre a splash em todas as bordas
O código é a resposta curta lá em cima. split="*" faz uma única célula da moldura inteira, e bleed na página leva todo quadro que toca a moldura até a caixa de sangria, 3 mm além do refile, sem requadro nesses lados (dividir a página). Na página 2, bleed="top start end" na onda sangra só esses três lados; o pé dela mantém a sarjeta em relação aos quadros de baixo. start e end seguem a direção de leitura, então as edições japonesa e árabe, lidas da direita para a esquerda, sangram os mesmos lados.
#2 · Sobreponha um quadro à splash
inset="56 64 38 30" põe o quadro de Maya a 56% e 64% do quadro anterior, com 38% de largura e 30% de altura. Um quadro sobreposto não ocupa célula: ele fica por cima da splash, mantém o seu próprio requadro e é lido logo depois dela. A imagem dele é recortada para a sua própria caixa pela área segura, aqui o rosto de Maya.

Por padrão, um H1 salta para uma página ímpar (always-odd), mas passar qualquer objeto headings redefine esse padrão, então os capítulos ficam emendados e span: 'page' não faz nada. Erro comum
Carregue todas as fontes antes do layout
O motor de layout mede o texto com as fontes que o navegador carregou e guarda as larguras em cache, então uma fonte que chega depois da primeira composição deixa quebras de linha erradas e um PDF que não corresponde mais à tela. Carregue antes todos os pesos e estilos e chame clearMeasurementCache() antes de recompor quando alguma chegar atrasada. Fontes antes da diagramação →
- A camada pop precisa ter exatamente o tamanho em pixels da imagem do quadro: o Postext a recorta com a mesma janela, então um recorte menor cairia no lugar errado.
- A sangria precisa de
