Quatre pàgines del Rōmaji nikki, el diari que Ishikawa Takuboku va dur a Tòquio la primavera de 1909 en lletres llatines perquè la seva dona no el pogués llegir: les línies que encapçalen el quadern i la primera entrada, la del 7 d'abril, fins a Kanasii koto da! El diari es compon com una edició d'estudi en una pàgina A5: el rōmaji en Source Serif 4, justificat i sense partir mai cap mot, i sota cada paràgraf la seva lectura en kana i kanji en Noto Serif JP, més petita, més clara i sagnada. Takuboku escriu en el sistema Nippon-shiki, si, tu, hu, amb circumflex a les vocals llargues, Tôkyô; les línies de l'editor fan servir Hepburn amb macrons, Rōmaji, i totes dues arriben al PDF.

#1 · Etiqueta el text com a ja-Latn

El codi és la resposta curta de més amunt. ja-Latn és l'etiqueta BCP 47 del japonès escrit en alfabet llatí. El seu idioma és ja, així que la lectura sota cada paràgraf segueix les regles japoneses: kinsoku, l'espaiat de 、。 i el quadratí que el motor afegeix després de ! dins d'una frase, com a 「ええ! ええ!」. El japonès no té patrons de partició de mots, així que el rōmaji no es parteix mai; amb en, els patrons anglesos dividirien mots com tatinobotta o Surigarasu per síl·labes angleses, no per les mores que sent un lector japonès. Sense guions, els espais absorbeixen la folgança, per això la mesura ronda els 70 caràcters i maxWordSpacing val 1,8 (partició de mots).

Fontsource guarda ō ū ā en un fitxer latin-ext a part. La pantalla el carrega (loadFonts veu la ō de la mostra), i el cjkPdfProvider del kit fa el mateix amb el PDF. Serveix Noto Serif JP des dels seus fragments japonesos i, quan una font llatina compon una lletra que només és a latin-ext, respon amb dos fitxers, latin i després latin-ext; postext-pdf pren cada glif del primer fitxer que el té. El fontsourceProvider simple del kit només lliura al PDF el fitxer latin: amb ell, el PDF no tindria glif per a la ō.

El quadern comença NIKKI. I. MEIDI 42 NEN. 1909. APRIL. TOKYO., una cosa per línia. El títol les pren d'un atribut, cada \n una línia nova, i les compon en versals espaiades sobre un camp índigo, la tela de la tapa d'un quadern. Lo escribe en el sistema Nippon-shiki de 1885, no en Hepburn: *si, ti, tu, hu* por shi, chi, tsu, fu, *dy* para los kana sonoros de la serie *t* (*Kyô-dyû*), un circunflejo en las vocales largas (*Tôkyô*) y, costumbre suya, mayúscula en casi todos los sustantivos. El texto sigue la edición de Iwanami Bunko de 1977; la transcripción bajo cada párrafo se hizo para esta receta, en kana moderno. Si una columna estreta necessita guions, posa guions tous (U+00AD) entre les mores del rōmaji, Su­na-ho­ko­ri al codi o un U+00AD escrit al text: un document ja-Latn no parteix mai per si sol, però talla en un guionet tou quan un mot no hi cap.

Etiqueta un text japonès 'ja', mai zh-Hans ni LANG

Les edicions d'una recepta són en i es, però una mostra japonesa és japonesa en totes dues: `locale: LANG` l'etiquetaria com a anglès o castellà, i una etiqueta xinesa la compondria amb les regles xineses (puntuació Kaiming, kana petit lliure de començar línia, 图 en lloc de 図, formes xineses dels caràcters al PDF). Escriu 'ja': tria la regió del Japó (tall i puntuació de la JLReq, punts de sèsam, repartiment dels furigana, etiquetes 図 i 表) i desactiva la partició de mots. Compon el japonès amb una font japonesa

Noto Serif SC i TC tenen kana, però dibuixen els kanji amb formes xineses (直, 骨 i 角 canvien) i el kana amb un disseny xinès. Compon el text en Noto Serif JP o Shippori Mincho B1 i els títols en Noto Sans JP, carregades amb loadCjkFonts. Els fitxers japonesos de Fontsource no tenen hentaigana ni altres kana històrics (U+1B000–1B16F): loadCjkFonts hi falla i el PDF imprimeix caixes, així que escriu el kana modern o porta als recursos de la recepta una font que els tingui. Les fonts xineses es carreguen per fragments, amb el bloc cjk

Fontsource serveix una família xinesa, japonesa o coreana en un centenar de fitxers per pes, cadascun amb un interval de caràcters. loadFonts només baixa el fitxer latin, així que a la pantalla els caràcters xinesos surten d'una font del sistema i es mesuren malament, i fontsourceProvider lliura al PDF aquest fitxer latin, que els imprimeix com a caixes buides. Afegeix el bloc cjk del kit, crida loadCjkFonts(FONTS, markdown) després de loadFonts (una vegada per veu, amb el text que compon, si el llibre fa servir diverses fonts xineses) i passa a renderToPdf fontProvider: cjkPdfProvider: tots dos agafen els fitxers que contenen els caràcters del text. Carrega totes les fonts abans de compondre

La composició mesura el text amb les fonts que el navegador ha carregat i en desa les amplades, així que una font que arriba després de la primera composició deixa talls de línia erronis i un PDF que ja no coincideix amb la pantalla.   • Shippori Mincho no té ō ni ū; Noto Serif JP i Source Serif 4 les tenen als fitxers latin-ext. Comprova la font abans de triar-la per a un text en Hepburn.
  • El xinès en lletres llatines és el pinyin, que va com a ruby sobre els caràcters a Una cartilla amb pinyin sobre cada caràcter; el rōmaji de Takuboku és el text mateix, així que es compon com a text llatí amb el seu espaiat, no com a anotació.
